About Science Academy
Science Academy is a dedicated space for those who wish to seek knowledge and understand the beauty and design of the Universe we belong to. Through this platform we endeavor to inspire individuals, especially children and youth, to explore, inquire and reflect about the Universe around them by studying the science behind it. In the process, we hope that they will develop a scientific temper that reflects strongly in their lives.
The Academy houses science labs with sophisticated infrastructure and mentorship facilities which will be accessible to every school, college, and university throughout the city of Hyderabad and India. Students can engage in the process of scientific methodology including generating new ideas for research; investigating the ideas through experiments and tests; and making conclusions.

Budding Scientist
What is it?
It is a meticulously designed experiential learning programme that will enable students to have practical understanding of scientific concepts.
Who can participate?
The programme is for students of classes VIII, IX and X
What will you learn?
Students will undergo practical training in concepts pertaining to Physics (force, motion, electricity, magnetism and others); Chemistry (behavior of gases, metals, making chemical products, secret ink and others); Biology (food tests, human senses, life processes in plants and others). Students will also undergo special workshops that help develop their skills such as inquiry, observation, inference, interpretation, reasoning, problem-solving and analytical thinking.
What is the duration of the Programme?
The programme is offered in two levels.
Level I is a short-term programme for 7 full days.
Level II is a long-term programme spread across 3 months (7 days/month).
Junior Scientist
What is it?
An experiential learning programme that will enable students to have practical understanding of scientific concepts.
Who can participate?
The programme is for intermediate students (classes XI and XII)
What will you learn?
Students will undergo practical training in concepts pertaining to Physics (types of motion, properties of matter, optics, electricity, magnetism and others); Chemistry (stoichiometry, acid-base behavior, organic chemistry, polymers, biomolecules and others); Botany (plant cells and tissue systems, transport in plants, biotechnology, microbes in daily life and others); Zoology (animal cells and tissue systems, life processes in animals, human anatomy and others). In addition, students will undergo special workshops that help develop their skills such as inquiry, observation, inference, interpretation, reasoning, problem-solving and analytical thinking.
What is the duration of the Programme?
The programme is offered in two levels.
Level I is a short-term programme for 10 full days.
Level II is a long-term programme spread across 3 months (7 days/month).
Do-Learn-Teach
What is it?
A unique experiential learning programme which will facilitate better teaching methodologies, especially to Science teachers.
Who can participate?
The programme is exclusively for high school science teachers.
What will you learn?
Participants will undergo practical training in concepts pertaining to Physics (force and energy, heat, light, sound, magnetism and others); Chemistry (classification of substances, constituents of air and their properties, atomic structure and others); Biology (life processes in humans, plant and animal cells and tissue systems, microbiology and others).
In addition, the participants will also undergo at least 2 special workshops-one workshop will focus on developing one’s own skills such as inquiry, observation, inference, interpretation, reasoning, problem-solving and analytical thinking; second workshop will focus on learning advanced teaching strategies such as activity-based learning, creativity and innovation in learning, peer learning strategies and others.
What is the duration of the Programme?
The practical training sessions will be for 7 full days. Additional 3 days for personal and professional skill development workshops.
Graduate Research Program
What is it?
It is a programme that solely focuses on teaching the Scientific Methodology to students including developing hypotheses, testing hypotheses, interpreting data and developing theories.
Who can participate?
The programme is exclusive for UG and PG students who have an interest for research.
What will you learn?
Students will be encouraged to develop their own hypotheses and testing procedures. They will be guided further to execute these procedures by experienced scientists and professors. Students will also be guided to write reports, articles and research papers.
What is the duration of the Programme?
Duration of the programme is based on projects selected by participants and availability of mentors.
